J Davies has been excellent again. Zebo looks lively but hasn't been tested. Maitland has been tested and looks awful. Halfpenny is very solid.

Warburton has been everywhere. Heaslip is playing quite well. Croft is playing in the centre and just tackling backs. as a result the breakdown is unsurprisingly struggling. O'Connell is having a stormer as is Alun-Wyn. Vuinapolo looks to be struggling in the scrum. Tom Youngs is putting himself about very well. Jamie Roberts is being targeted and his gameplan is being nullified.

    Good game.
"Lets be clear about the 6m first and foremost. The 6m is not for player release. They use that in their statements, but if you look at our Participation Agreement signed in 2009, there is a split in there about what player release is. Out of the 6m, 2.7m is a core grant. Another 2.4m is to keep the non-Welsh qualified player quota down under an agreed limit. Player release is about less than 1.5m, so don't be misled by statements that say 6m is being paid for player release."

Excellent half from halfpenny, davies, sexton and o'connell.
Very good half in attack from zebo, not so good in defence.

    impressive:
youngs, awj, poc, warburton, davies, zebo, halfpenny

    meh:
    violentpony, jones, heaslip, phillips, sexton

    weak:
    croft, roberts, maitland

poc has been playing positions 5 and 6 by himself.
croft actually invloved more than i have ever seen him but as sl said, he only tackles or jackles backs and has left his pack short time and time again.

davies has been excellent and while zebo is working hard and getting in the right places, he doesn't look as sharp as usual. understandable i suppose but would like to see him capitalise on a couple of breaks in the second half.

maitland is in over his head. never up to this level. roberts is taking on a lot of ball but not for the first time on this tour, his ball handling has been loose. 3 weeks ago i would have had him as nailed on but tuilagi must be close.

Quick ball -> sexton -> davies, almost always seems to result in a try.

This is a great game for accuary, 100% kicking, 100% set piece all round.

Heaslip is getting worse. They are targeting the half backs big time

Good finish by croft on the wing

ah the famous thomas croft (tm) sky sports test selection super try.

fabulous. another pull your hair out, ruck lottery, underpowered fairy fest in the first test then.
while the likes of tipuric, lydiate and o'brien sit in the stands scratching themselves.
