Anti England
Do you hate England and all things English but don’t have time to scour the threads looking for appropriate places to pour your vitriol?
Do a few equivocal press articles bias your judgement of a whole nation and its people? Perhaps and Englishman has been picked ahead of one of your fellow countrymen or an English coach is to blame for the whole Lions team performance? Is the blatant ineptitude of anyone other than a Celt something you would like to post about but you struggle to fit your comments into the available subject matter? Don’t worry, help is at hand. You can consolidate all your prejudice and loathing into one, easy to manage thread! Simply post anything anti-English here. |

I dont think this is a good idea. It isn't within the spirit of the Lions and/or this site and is likely to cause offence in much the same way as if you reposted this thread replacing the word England with Scotland, Wales or Ireland.
I'm going to leave this open for now but i've got my eyes on this and as soon as this remotely starts getrting offensive it will be closed and moved to Eejits corner. |

I have to say that I was tempted to delete this thread as I couldn't see that it would serve any constructive purpose but then decided to let it run and see how it developed.
I personally dislike words like 'hate' as I think this is a pretty strong word. I certainly don't like the English RUGBY team, mainly because of the fact there is so much unfair reporting where they are concerned, there is just no equality with regard the media at all. Just one example would be 2 weeks ago when I was working away and watching BBC national news every morning and listening to their sports line up. It was reported that Cipriani wasn't selected for England tour but was on stand by but no mention re the appeal re Quinlan which was being heard that day and would effect B & I not just England. For me it will always be the bias on reporting and commentating that drives me mad re this issue. I also find the utter arrogance of some of the players distasteful players such as Dallaglio, Healey and Dawson. With regard to English people then I have no specific dislike of them, I would judge a person not on where they come from but as to how they behave. This is the case whether they are Irish, Welsh, French, German etc etc. I don't seem to have the same strong feelings about other sport where England are involved. I'm not 'Anti - England', I'm anti England rugby for reasons as above.
