I'm getting really really confuse with this now. I was in Botswana last year, on Malarone the whole time. In the Kruger between 2nd and 3rd tests this time. The nurse said not to bother, found some websites that say take it and some that don't. I appreciate it's not a yes / no situation, but some consitency in advice would be good.
Anyone else made a decision on this yet?

I'm no medical expert but I had that Kruger was one of the areas that Malaria tablest was recommended.

I'm surprised that the nurse said not to bother - they are normally extra cautious about this kind of stuff.

We decided to take the anti-malarials because we are going to the Victoria Falls and northern Namibia; however even if I were going to the Kruger for just a few days, I'd take them. Reason being - what is £50 or so for the prescription / pills vs actually getting malaria and being sick as a dog. But that is just me...

My mate has just been stopped from boarding a plane from Georgia-Jo-Burg due to not having two blank pages on his passport. Off to British embassy later and fingers crossed or he wont be going to SA. Just about to leave for a 6.15am Bristol - Dam - Jo Burg

Sorry for the late reply to this.

We were informed a long time before that you needed 2 consec pages in your passport for entry which I had, the odd thing was that the immigration stamped my passport on a page that already had a stamp for US entry!

There is no doubt that the people of SA were in awe of the committment and dedication of the Lions fans.

I have to say that being in the stadiums and looking at all the red that without doubt outnumbered the Bok supporters (even with their free flags!) It made me so proud.
